College is one of the first times in most of our life where we get to live on our own, which means that we no longer have the safety net that was our parents. Most of us have to fend for ourselves and take student loans, and get scholarships to get ourselves through this journal.

There are some things that are essential for you to own, especially if you are starting college next. Living in a dorm means you have to be smart about the things you have in there. I get bored of the cafeteria food pretty easily, which is why you might want to consider these gadgets to have in your college dorm in my books. You can use them for cooking and none of them gas to function.

- Instant Pot: This is one of the least expensive things on our list and is also the most versatile cooking appliance out there. You can cook a lot of things in your instant pot, from congee to stews, rice, and even a turkey for thanksgiving.

If you live in a dorm, this will be a hit; not only does it not take a lot of places, but you can cook a lot of things on it at the same time. You can cook pancakes, eggs, or even bacon there.

- Sandwich maker: Instead of buying an overpriced sandwich on campus, you can make your own with your trustee sandwich maker. It has several options and will fix most of your cravings.

2. Bluetooth Coffee maker
If you are anything like me, then you love coffee, and you need it to function. I was broke most of the time in college, and most of the time, my meals would consist of iced coffee and ramen noodles. This is why having a smart and Bluetooth coffee maker is a must-have for me.
You are in college, so you will pull a couple of all-nighters to finish a paper that is literally due in 2 hours. Don’t worry; I’ve been there, and I know the struggle, and this is why owning a coffee machine is a must—making yourself a cup of coffee will give you the high and caffeine rush that you need to finish that paper.
The nice thing about a Bluetooth coffee machine is that you can order the machine to make you a cup of coffee before you get to your dorm, and you know that when you get there, a cup of coffee will be waiting for you. For me, this is what dreams are made of.

I went to college to study English literature and linguistics, which says a lot about me. I am a nerd who loves reading and languages. I love reading physical copies of books, but I also know that they are cumbersome, and not everyone loves them.
